THE SHIP

We started building this final spot with sketches and ideas in 2020. Between then and opening in 2024, dreams died, new dreams arrived, compromises were made, lessons were learned, and we gotta say, we finished with joy in the personal details and obsessions we just couldn’t let go of, and it made a pretty sweet little spot on Main Street, Buena Vista. We are a small restaurant in the coldest of days, a mellow gathering spot for those year-arounders. As the days warm, and the spring, summer, and fall dreamy days come and go, we have two patios that triple our seating. In the Crow’s Nest, you have the best views of our surrounding mountains and the happenings along Main Street. Our rooftop deck is quite the spot to indulge in a cold beer and a burger.  Downstairs, our patio is the best spot for friendly dogs, friendly people, and noteworthy Skål! (cheers) moments.  Both patios offer rain coverage, so don’t you worry about finding a seat during the variable monsoon seasons. We’re in Colorado, and we love that rain. Obviously, there’s plentiful blankets and fire pits, because we Hygge it up at The Buena Viking!
