After 7 glorious years of that food truck life, The Buena Viking is making its way to a year-around, permanent, brick and mortar location! We’ve eddied out at 418 E. Main Street, Buena Vista, COLORADICAL, and we’re excited to have our very own home port. The Buena Viking aims to provide an elevated burger experience in a casual setting, perfect to compliment your Colorado adventure days. With the belief that every order matters, that every customer deserves an awesome experience, and a passion for excellence, we invite you to come see all The Buena Viking has to offer!
Owners Evan and Anna Winger made Buena Vista their home over 20 years ago. They both love their spot in this universe, their community, the Rocky Mountains, and the Arkansas River that provide peace and adventure when they’re not restauranter-ing!
Our new spot has a lot more room, and therefore a lot more room for options! We will have mostly the same menu as the food truck, but with additions of more salads, gluten-free options, new and different melts and burgers, and soups for the winter season! We have a really full bar and are excited to get cozy with our community for our first off-season culinary adventure.
We’ve also built three Hygge-Centric apartments above the restaurant, aptly named The Even Keel Lodge, as we’re always trying to keep the ship upright! Check them out at www.evenkeelbv.com for any of your vacation rental needs.

OUr mug club is an annual deal - a party for 12 months if you will. with an upfront purchase of $100, you get a ethically sourced ox horn, made of post-consumer materials and byproducts that have been recovered or diverted from solid waste. this mug will get you happy hour prices all day everyday, 2 for 1 beers or cocktails on wednesdays, and a different savings deal in food that changes monthly. while you may be like, “Woah, vikings - $100 bucks?! you’re outttta your mind” - know that if you drink a free cocktail even 12 wednesdays out of 52, you’ve paid for your mug. And you get a badass mug to take home at the end of the year. we’re not trying to make a buck, we’re trying to have a party! Annually, a new mug will be released and the first 100 people to sign up are in the club.
